Frequently Asked Questions
What thickness should a running track be?
Our IAAF standard thickness is 13 mm or more. Thicker surfacing (20–25 mm) is used for extra-thickness areas such as long-jump run-ups and steeplechase areas, and 9 mm is used for auxiliary areas. Sandwich and spray coating systems are built in the 9–13 mm range and can be customised to project requirements.
Are your running tracks IAAF certified?
Yes. Our running track surfaces are IAAF (World Athletics) certified, and the projects in our reference list are all documented as 13 mm IAAF certified surfaces. Our installation teams are capable of IAAF line marking with certificate.
What base does a running track need?
Both our sandwich and spray coating systems are installed on a cement or asphalt base. A properly prepared, drained base determines surface flatness and service life, so we confirm base construction as part of every project.
Which running track system is best for a school with a limited budget?
The sandwich system is our most economical option: all-weather, good flatness and well suited to cold regions. The spray coating system is the first choice for schools and rainy areas because the surface does not bubble and is also economical. The full pour PU system costs more but gives the highest level of shock absorption.
Do you install running tracks outside China?
Yes. We provide a global installation service with our own installation teams and more than 12 years of installation experience, including IAAF line marking with certificate. Reference installations include Nigeria, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal and the Dominican Republic.
How does the track perform in rain or extreme heat?
Our tracks are built for all-weather use. Water does not accumulate and drainage is good, so the track is usable shortly after rain. The surface resists temperature fluctuation, and friction remains above 0.5 (47 on the tester) under damp conditions.
What colours are available?
Red and blue are the standard track colours shown in our delivered projects, and custom colours are available on request.
Can you supply a quotation, MOQ and lead time?
Quotations are prepared per project because pricing depends on surface system, thickness, area and destination country. Send us your track length and lane count, the event types you need to host, and the project location, and we will return a specification and quotation.
